THE SATISFIED WOMAN PRESENTS

The Institute for Feminine Psychology

A scholarship-based, research-informed field of study devoted to women’s psychology, satisfaction, relationships, work, and lives—on women’s terms.

Contemporary feminine psychology gives women a framework for understanding our needs, development, embodiment, relationships, authority, money, work, and satisfaction without forcing women into models built around someone else’s experience.

Founded by Alanna Kaivalya, Ph.D.

Women on women’s terms.

THE FIELD

Women deserve primary study—not merely comparative study.

Contemporary feminine psychology is the study and practical application of women’s psychological lives on women’s own terms. It recognizes that femininity has its own qualities, intelligences, developmental experiences, needs, standards, and conditions for satisfaction—not merely qualities assigned to women in contrast or response to men.

The field draws from depth psychology, mythology, embodiment, relationship, culture, and women’s lived experience to understand the whole woman rather than forcing her into a supposedly universal model of human development.

Women in relationship and community

A NOTE FROM ALANNA

I’ve been studying femininity, transformation, and personal mythology for more than twenty years.

My work has always centered a direct question: what does a woman need in order to build a life that truly satisfies her?

That question has guided my scholarship, doctoral research, teaching, writing, and work with women for decades. Through advanced study in mythological studies and depth psychology, long-term research into personal mythology and the feminine psyche, five books, professional education, and thousands of hours guiding women through relationship, identity, work, power, and reinvention, I have developed a body of work centered on women’s lives from the inside out.

This is scholarship-based, research-informed work: grounded in depth psychology, mythology, women’s lived experience, and more than two decades of applied education and transformation.

The Institute for Feminine Psychology is where that body of work becomes a formal field of study.

FOUNDATIONS

A body of study for women’s actual lives.

These are not abstract concepts. They explain why a woman can look accomplished and still feel unsatisfied, why she trusts everyone before herself, why she carries too much, why some relationships allow her to soften and others require armor, and what creates a life that actually supports her.

Study it. Apply it. Live it.
